Edward Pugh for Ward 47 Alderman

Hello, Neighbors!

Edward Pugh We have a rare opportunity to make an independent selection for a representative in City Hall who is free from undue outside influence.

I am such a candidate. My name is Edward Pugh, and I want your vote for Alderman of Chicago’s 47th Ward.

I graduated with a BA in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin in May of 2001. Since then, I have worked in many areas of the financial industry; from a teller to vice president of corporate trust. As a Senior Policy Analyst for the City of Chicago Council and Supervisor of Bank Examiners for the Northern District of the State of Illinois, I have extensive experience in both the legislative, executive and regulatory branches of local government.

When I realized what the banking industry was doing to the mortgage markets in 2008, I testified as an expert witness in front of the Chicago City Council, warning of the impending housing crisis. As a strong advocate for education, I have fought for the Chicago Public Schools, volunteering at Waters Elementary School where my daughter is enrolled. Nothing makes me prouder or is more important to me than our public schools and our community.
